MUMBAI: Media giant Walt Disney on Monday expressed interest to invest in the Indian entertainment sector by launching three channels, including its Walt Disney channel, and tie-ups with Indian animation industry.

The media conglomerate’s interest in India was expressed by Andy Bird, president, Walt Disney International, in a meeting with Information & Broadcasting Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad in Mumbai on Monday.

A team of senior Walt Disney executives, lead by Bird, would be interacting with corporates from Indian animation industry in course of the Ficci-Frames convention at Mumbai. Bird is one of the keynote speakers at the conference.
